Joe Fortune Casino: Our 2020 Review of Their Casino

Joe Fortune is a brand new casino for Australians. They launched in August 2016.

But there's no need to be alarmed.

Yes, there's usually some cause for concern with new casinos. With so many scams out there, you could easily fall into a trap signing up to a casino that has no track record.

But I don't think this is one of those times. Let me tell you why.

They don't work with many brands, and who they do work with have good reputations. It's for that reason I think it's safe for Australians to join Joe Fortune Casino.

You'll find a large selection – more than 400 different casino games – at Joe Fortune. That's because they work with software providers Microgaming, Real Time Gaming and Rival.

One thing I don't see, and am somewhat surprised of, is BetSoft. It doesn't look like they work with them. I find that odd because BetSoft's standard for Betting Partners' casinos.

It's not that you need more than 400 games. However, BetSoft would have added 100+ unique games not found anywhere else, including their entertaining 3D slots.

Anyway, instead of talking about what you can't play, let's look at what games you can play. Here's a complete list of games you can play at Joe Fortune.

Specialty Games

They have a larger specialty section than I've seen at most casinos. Those games include a mix of keno, bingo and scratch tickets.

Table Games

You'll have a nice selection of blackjack, roulette and table games to choose from. A good balance overall.

One thing I'm not a fan of, though, is the quantity of games. You'll find more options – at least more blackjack variants – at other casinos – even those that primarily use Real Time Gaming.

But for many people quantity isn't everything – quality is.

Video Poker

One thing I like about their video poker section are the multi-hand variations. If you have the bankroll and have a craving for action, these should satisfy you.

However, while they have 15+ different video poker machines, they only have 6 different variations. You can certainly find more at both Real Time Gaming -and- Microgaming powered casinos.

Slots

Here are Joe Fortune's slot selection. They offer more than 130 3D, classic and progressive slot machines.

My favorite slots are the licensed ones. These are machines you'll only find from software companies who work with non US-facing casinos -OR- brick and mortar casinos worldwide. This means you get to play fun titles like Terminator, Jurassic Park and Game of Thrones.

Overall, they have a solid selection of games. I think that's largely thanks to Microgaming and their MASSIVE game library. That alone is worth signing up for.

Alright, one last thing before we move on –

This is great because you can play here from any device (namely iOS and Android, but also Mac and Linux, too) and the games should look great.

However, when I checked out their mobile site I noticed they have a MUCH smaller selection of games. It's still a solid selection – and a good balance – of games when compared to other (mobile) casinos. But when you compare it to their desktop casino, I feel like there can be more.

But they're still new yet. I expect their quality and quantity of games and variants to only go up from here.

This is their referral program. Once you hit their site you'll see that they're pushing this pretty hard. Not surprising, really, since they're new.

There's no limit to how many people you can refer. There is a 60x play through before the deposit, bonus or winnings can be cashed out, and the bonus has a max cash out rate of 10x the deposit.

Last up is their Ripper Rewards. This is their VIP program. You earn 1 point for every $1 wagered on slots and 1 point for every $4 wagered on everything else.

Conclusion: Is Joe Fortune Worth Checking Out?

Honestly, it's too early to tell. All I can do is tell you what I think.

They have a solid selection of games. 400+ games is nothing to complain about. I'd like to see more variants and mobile options, but that's it.

And they have a decent welcome bonus for slots/keno players. It could be better for everyone else – a 200-400x rollover is ridiculous – but that's not far outside the norm, if not on par with most online casinos.

Between that, and the fact that they work with Betting Partners – a legitimate company who works with other legitimate online casinos – and, yeah, I think Joe Fortune is worth a look.

You can't beat the fun slang used on their site, either. There's an abundance of Aussie vernacular used from bloody, bastard, mate, gander, pookies, tele, footy and boozer.

It's definitely a casino for Australians – and a decent looking one at that.
